We in the Scott College of Business are excited to host the Annual Fall USCA Meeting here in Terre Haute on the Campus of Indiana State. The meeting will occur during our Fall break so there will few if any students around on Friday or Saturday. We have put together this information to help make your travel planning and stay easier.
Lodging
We have a block of rooms reserved at the brand new La Quinta Inn & Suites Terre Haute located at 451 E Margaret Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47802, which is about 3 miles from the campus. To make reservations, call (812) 244-1144 and tell them you are making a reservation for the ISU event on Oct 4-6. Room rates are $139 a night and reservations need to be made no later than Sept 1 or they will release the rooms. The room rate includes breakfast.
The weekend of our meeting is also homecoming for one of the other universities in the area, so rooms are going to be difficult to find outside of the room block.
Travel to Hotel
The closest major airport is Indianapolis International, which is located 65 miles from Terre Haute.
Drive from Indianapolis International Airport: Follow signs for I-70 west (toward St. Louis). Stay on I-70 to exit 7 (61 miles). Turn North on 3rd Street (US41) for ¼ of a mile. Turn right on Margret Street. The La Quinta Inn & Suites will be on the right.
Travel to Campus
From the hotel head back to 3rd Street (US41). Turn north (right) on 3rd street and go 2 miles. Turn east (right) on Ohio St. and go ½ mile. Turn north (left) on 9th street and go 2 blocks. Turn east (left) on Cherry St. and go 2 blocks. Federal Hall (home of Scott College of Business) is located on the southwest corner of 7th and Cherry. The address of Federal Hall is 30 N 7th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47809.
Parking
Free on street parking is available around the building but only for 2 hours at a time (enforced by the city). There is a parking garage on the northeast corner of 7th & Cherry that charges $1 per hour or $6 for 12 hours and takes cash or cards on exit.
